Certificate Course on “Concepts & Standards for Halaal-compliance” at UoK

A few months ago, The Halaal Foundation and the Department of Food science & Technology, University of Karachi entered into an MoU. The main objective was to conduct a Certificate Course on “Concepts & Standards for Halaal-compliance” for the students of the department and also for those professionals working in the food industry so that the participants could gain the necessary but authentic Shariah information about Halaal and Haraam and the related Shariah terms in order to make their technical knowledge and experience better.

Delegation of Jamia Binoria Visits Halaal Foundation

On Saturday, March 22, 2014, a top-ranking delegation of Jamia Binoria Aalimiyah visited Halaal Foundation. The delegation consisted of 4 members: Molana Noman Naeem, the vice principal of Jamia Binoria, Mufti Saif Ullah Jameel, the head of the Dar-ul-Ifta, Mufti Nadir Jan, and Molana Naeem-ur-Rahman, member of the IT Department of Jamia Binoria.

A Delegation from Madrasa Ibn-e-Abbaas Visits Halaal Foundation

On April 02, 2014, Two Shariah experts belonging to the Dar-ul-Ifta of Madrasa Ibn-e-Abbaas (Gulistan-e - Jauhar, Karachi), visited the Head office of the Halaal Foundation located in the Rohail Khand Society of Karachi. Mufti Syed Abid Shah, the head of the Shariah Department of the Halaal Foundation, exchanged with the delegation his views on the Shariah solution to the modern-day complicated issues. He also highlighted the goals and objectives of the organization. Thereafter, the delegation had a detailed meeting with the CEO of the Halaal Foundation, Molana Naeem Shahid, and exchanged their views on various aspects of Halaal.

Participation in 3rd International Halal Conference Lahore

On May 22 and 23, 2014, 3rd “International Halal Conference and Expo 2014” was held at the International Expo Centre Lahore. It was jointly organized by the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) and the Punjab Halal Development Agency (PHDA) in collaboration with the Halal Research Council, USAID-TAP, Punjab Agriculture and Meat Company, and Livestock & Dairy Development Department of Punjab.
